Final Chapter: A Girl's Whisper

       Ikkaku was among those who arranged for Tobias' proper burial. All the while, I had what Tobias said to me stuck in my mind. Spuer soldier... I was almost positive that such a plan was forbidden and was objected. As I thought long and hard about it, something shocked me, and the only thing I could hear, for a split second was a voice. A girl's voice, as if it knew me. "Grey Heart." Grey Heart... I shook it off, and thought of it as the least of my concern. "Strider, I heard about what happened," reported Ikkaku. "You obviously know your sources. All you have heard is true, and now we're trying to find the one who orchestrated this plot." We finally decked back to Earth, which would be home to our base. Hard to believe it'd be here in the very city Dawn, Melodie, and I had memories in. As the ship docked, I quickly went to find the main office of the building. I had a lot on my mind. However, that voice appeared again, and I collapsed in the shock of it. I reclined in the chair, setting Asterisk beside me. Overtime, I got a message from a Unity Representative. "Strider, I see you managed to get in the base. Plans of a East and West divisdion are almost complete." "Very well. See to it that these branches get complete." "Roger."

       My head just wasn't in the mood to deal with any affairs concerning the base itself. I looked out the window and wondered a great deal about Tobias' final words to me. "The man in green, super soldier, Resistance, and my past... they're connected. And this Grey Heart? Why... does it bother me so much?" Ikkaku's sudden appearence snapped me back into reality before I strayed too far in thought. "Still thinking about Tobias, I see." "It just doesn't make sense to me. Who, aside from Dawn, Tyanna, you, Melli, and myself would know much about my past?" "Beats me bud. My thing is who exactly did Tobias see before his end?" A good question indeed. And to be frank, I wished that the answer was much easier. But, anyone else that would know is deceased. So, how would he know about my exploits? Maybe that term I suddenly hear, and this mysterious guy are connected. Speaking of which, he started to surface, but by transmission alone.

       "Greetings, Unity leader!" "Just... just who in the hell are you!? What do you want from me!?" "Nothing in particular, yet. For now, I wanted to congradulate you for taking out the opposing forces I sent to you. You're truly as powerful as the legends foretold." "You, you were behind the lies, as well as Tobias' brainwashing!!" He merely shrugged, as if he knew I'd sniff him out. "Caught red handed. Very impressive, those investigator skills of yours. But perhaps I shouldn't be too surprised, someone who governs his own organization and all." "BASTARD!!!!!!!" I felt my powers escalating. "Nuh-uh-uh! Remember, this a transmission. You've yet to see me face-to-face yet. That time will come soon. I will warn you with this message, though: keep an eye on your loved ones, or else someone from your past may tear your present, and future, apart. Keep that in mind, Grey Heart. Farewell!" As hard as I could, I slammed my fist on the table in frustration. Just who was he to make threats? 'Keep an eye on my loved ones'? What in the hell was he planning? And does this have something to do with that voice I keep hearing? Time would reveal the answers to me, but I felt as if that time wasn't too far off...
